At the George & Dragon we invite you to come and enjoy this ‘Tardis-like’ spacious pub, bars and coffee shop, with 2 or 3 TV Screens for the Euros, showing in different areas depending on the game(s). The G&D blends old and new, retaining original and historic timber and stone features found under the 20th Century tat now removed . Creating new seating and dining areas where you, your family and friends can watch the footie, and/or 'Dine with the Dragons'. You can also enjoy our own G&D blend of freshly roast and ground barista style coffees (or very good teas), and our baker Leigh’s fabulous homemade cakes & cream teas, or of course, you can simply relax and have drinks in the Bars, or our Sunny Beer Garden.
In fact, we have the ONLY BEER GARDEN IN DARTMOUTH, where you can relax to enjoy the Devon sunshine, or rest in the shade of our Giant Umbrellas to enjoy your refreshments.
No matter if you are joining us for coffee and homemade cakes, a glass of wine with lunch, an afternoon Cream Tea, a relaxed Evening Dinner, or just for a drink – You will get a warm welcome from the friendly crew at The George & Dragon. Well-behaved children and your 4-legged canine friends are very welcome and they will be made to feel very much at home, in fact we are members and featured in the Good Dog Guide. We're sure your children will find something yummy on our Homemade Children’s Menu (See page 2 of the Lunch or Evening Dinner Menus) or on our Chefs Daily Specials Board, plus there is always fresh water for your dog inside and out - and usually a tasty treat from the dog-mad crew behind the bar – with your permission of course.
Music at the George and Dragon - We are licensed for Live Music including outside during the Summer Season, including the Dart Music Festival Weekend, plus a whole week of Live Music entertainment during Dartmouth Royal Regatta in August.

Nice place. Buffet food was really good and tasty. Good variation of food and generous amount.
A great place just a few short minutes from the harbour. It was very quiet, so finding a table was no issue. Staff were friendly and very swift in service. As for the food... The dirty fries have to be tasted to be believed!
Had a wonderful Sunday lunch, staff were very helpful and meal was served very quickly. Recommended
Had a lovely lunch with a friend and found the restaurant to be clean light and airy the metal dragon sculptures gave the place a lovely feel, staff were extremely friendly and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back.
I'd just like to say how fab the staff are here at the G&D Dartmouth. All the staff are welcoming, friendly and go out of their way to help you. We regularly meet as part of an organisation here and they make it very welcoming, even if we have a few odd requests. Thank You!.
