Attempted to eat here. Booked a table for 11 in advance! Bad communication and miscommunication between staff and manager. Supposedly only 1 chef on due to sickness and so could only provide carvery however we did advise that not everybody would like carvery so they would cater for the other party if required. However they changed this at short notice and said other options wasn't available as they didn't have the food in! Due to said chef ringing in sick. How does somebody ringing in sick effect having the food in a dining place to eat? Also being told to order our meals in advance before even reaching the venue? I would avoid! Bitterly disappointed and have lost service from 11 diners
Carvery was great, got huge cuts of meat which is always a plus, gammon was grand but the beef edges were a bit odd. The food was a touch on the colder side and there were some "soiled underpants" hung up in one of the men's cubicles, but that's more an indication of the customers
It's a carvery not much to go wrong, visited as it was my sisters birthday. Had the carvery it wasn't up much hard roast potatoes very salty Gammon didn't have the beef or turkey as it looked dry. Wasn't to my liking but others enjoyed it. Service was good beers not a bad selection.
Stopped off for some food after shopping with the other half, the staff were polite and friendly, the food was great and it wasn't too busy when we arrived but it got busier before we left. It's definitely worth visiting if you're in the area or just passing through. The photos are ÷÷ breaded mushrooms with garlic mayo dip scampi & chips & mushy peas with tatar sauce knickerbocker glory
The carvery here is decent and even better when you can sit round the back over watching the fields and landscape. 2 standard carvery’s with one beer because I get a pint of water with ice just over £20 it isn’t bad.
