From the sawdust on the old oak floors, to the ship's wheel behind the bar, the storm lanterns, the block & tackle coat shelf & the 'pirate-frog' murals on the walls - this famous inn of beer & song welcomes adventurers, pirates and the simply curious.
What a unique establishment. Everything you read about this place is true.. great atmosphere and staff, and a jolly good time had by most with dancing on tables and singing along to all those classic songs we know and love.. thanks, Matt!
Didnt eat here but what a find, opens at 10pm, and you need to be here by then to get a table as when the live music starts so does the dancing on the tables. Was a bit overdressed as had a christmas meal just before but it didnt matter, everyone there was there to sing, dance and be very merry.
My 1st visit. Great atmosphere, will visit again. If they let me in π
Excellent venue. Great staff. Especially manage who was patient and willing enough to help me recover my lost coat the morning after a night in there. Top class.
I visited this pub, and my initial impression was positive. The music and atmosphere created a great vibe at the start of the evening. However, my experience soured as the night went on. The bouncer on duty was disappointingly ineffective, failing to expel individual who tried to initiate a fight and another who was harrasing a girl. This lack of intervention allowed the situation to escalate, impacting everyone's enjoyment. In addition, one of the bartenders, the blonde one, appeared to be overcharging for drinks. Despite bringing this to her attention, she did not take any corrective actions
