4 stars for food. Probably a 3.5 for the place. Arrived before noon, was quiet, clean and food well prepared.. did see other reviews which were lower rating, possibly during busier times can be a push on staff? 3 stars as one toilet was broken in the gents, and I prefer hand towels over hand driers. Also would prefer a larger mug for coffee…
Not busy at our time of booking, we thought great as we were on a tight schedule that was why we booked. Disappointingly we waited 50 minutes for just two mains and a child’s meal. Food was great but not happy about the massive wait time. We were offered free soft drinks after I spoke to a bar person questioning the wait. Our daughter wanted a Sunday ice cream dessert but due to the long wait for food she had to go without. Again, great food, when it eventually arrived, sad about the wait time as the place was relatively empty
Had Christmas dinner at this venue and the whole experience was appalling. Starters was easy an hour and fifteen minutes late and the mains was warmed up at best. The staff even attempted for us to 'take away' the deserts so they could leave early. After a lot of really good visits to the pub I'm so disappointed for both me and my family! A waste of £600!!!!
We came in for a drink and snack. Friendly service from the bar staff especially Ashleigh ! She was super chatty. Really enjoyed the food. (Sometimes I can be a bit over done) but today was perfect. We got the grazer menu. Offered the dog a drink which was sweet. We Had a lovely evening.
Nice food, lovely mixed grill, and good choice for kids' meals. The only downside was that it took a while to come, and it wasn't busy at all.
