Recently refurbished town centre, single room traditional pub, with wood burning stove. Free house next to the River Parrett and the historic town bridge. There is a small outside seating area in a pedestrianized street. Frequent entertainment including acoustic bands and solo performers. Occasional food special events such as chilli nights but you need to pre book. Check the face book page for food and events.

Always visit this bar when on holiday .. only thing that I don't stay longer than a pint are the bloody flys. Other than that it's lovely
Always will be and is my local pub run by a lovely and fantastic landlady and has great loyal staff and great regular drinkers and friends and a great place to unwind especially after a long day socialising. I visited tonight after a long hard day away from Bridgwater and was recognised by one of the ladies who had served me previously and noticed that there was a lively atmosphere. It's so nice to visit your local bar/pub and be amongst friends. The Fountain is a lovely local pub run by a very intelligent landlady and her staff are excellent. It's so nice to have a drink in The Fountain if you're by yourself as you have people around you that are ready to help if needs be. Had great service tonight from the nice young lady behind the bar . I will definitely go there again as I always do.
Cozy old school pub. Always fantastic welcoming staff, great selection of Lagers & Ales, and very reasonably priced. Superb people watching location on nicer days too, with pavement tables. Recommended
