We stayed here for one night on recommendation from our family and it did not disappoint. Very comfortable room and bed. We ate breakfast in the morning which was delicious. We both had the full English and it was perfect portion size and tasty. Thanks team, we will come back next time we're in England 😊
Annie Rose Dobbin gave outstanding service, smiled the whole way through and even gave us a dance!! definitely recommend, will go again!
One of those rare pubs where you can actually get a sandwich for lunch. Hurrah! Beautiful moist bread. Delicious Bacon, Brie, Cranberry filling and a beautifully presented side salad. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere.
One of those places small enough where you walk in and everyone looks at you and listens to your whole check in food etc etc. That wasn't nice for me. Breakfast was regimented and didn't get a lot even tho it was nice enough. Cosy fire and maybe I'm behind the times but a bit pricey overall. At breakfast we were all told not to charge our devices for some reason, again seems a bit antiquated.
We arrived very nearly towards the end of food being served. But no fuss or bother they accommodated us. 2 of us had steak, other had chicken and leek pie. It came promptly and was delicious. Had a good banter with the lady looking after us. It was the highlight of our day after a 400 mile journey, tent set up in wind and rain. Goodwood FOS was cancelled so a bit far to drive for pub lunch. But hopefully we'll return next year. Little cottages looked nice from the outside too
