It's an incredibly pleasant pub / restaurant related to The Boathouse in Seaview. The premise is located about a 5 minute drive from the main road in a quite semi private area. I'd suggest becoming a member to get discounts on the bill/free drinks and offers.
We only came here for a drink while we waited for the for the ferry, it was really lovely. Then we left my daughter’s coat behind! When I rang to see if they would help us out the manager kindly offered to post it for us, and did it the very same day I rang. Service that went above and beyond! Thankyou!
Ordered 16 fish and chips to takeaway - 10 for adults (£16 each) and 6 children (£10 each). Crazy prices, with very little actual fish and chips in there. Children's portions were an adult fish cut 3 ways and with 3 or 4 chips literally. Adult portions had very few chips. Daylight robbery. As in a rush to catch ferry, couldn't check the portions before we had left. In any case they take the money upfront.
Beautiful location, this is the only positive point of this evening experience...we ordered the Aubergine and it was the worse plate I ever received so far in a restaurant. We paid 17£ for a tiny piece of aubergine that was dry, few bits of corn here and there, a very spciy sauce under the aubergine and some fried noodles on the top...I am pretty disappointed with this place and will never return...we had to order some extra food on the ferry...
