The Elizabethan is named after the daughter of James VI. She was born in Dunfermline Palace on 19th August 1596. At the time of her birth, her father was King of Scots only.
Elizabeth was known as The Winter Queen after marrying Frederick of Bohemia, who was King for only a few months. Her Grandson did become King George 1 of the UK initiating the Hanoverian Dynasty in 1714.

Really enjoyed our night here. Great service, great food and good prices. A really nice chilled atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.
Came as a group of 9 on a relatively quiet night. Cannot fault the staff behind the bar, very friendly. The food took a bit long to come but was definitely worth the wait. I had a steak, cooked to absolute perfection. The chocolate fudge cake for dessert was very tasty too. Oh and the onion rings were superb
We booked a table for dinner and a long overdue catch up I arrived a little early, so I had couple pre dinner pints at the bar. The staff are very friendly and it was a cosy relaxed atmosphere. The food was amazing, those tempura prawns were really good and the cheesecake of the day was baileys and salt caramel, lovely. After our meal we enjoyed a few more drinks at the bar, watching the remainder of the football on the big screen. We had a brilliant night and we will definitely be back
Dropped in for a quick pint and a snack and we were not disappointed!!! Beer was cold and crisp, served with a smile by a very polite and helpful lass. Food was proper lush!! Got a couple of things to share and we left stuffed food was to a high standard and very tasty Indeed. Will definitely back and will tell everyone about it! Xxx
