High standard of furnishings and decor, and the staff are very good. We use the hotel once a month for our breakfast meetings with The Men Of Issacher and I must say that we are always well accommodated. We've used a couple of their rooms, which were both good-sized rooms, although one is a little smaller. And breakfast is always first-class. Car parking is never a problem, with a good-sized car park on site.
Came for xmas dinner not as good as 3 years ago staff was freindly but meal definitely not as good last time we had starter then soup then carvery. Soup included in starters good choice of meat instant mash potatoe no stuffing and veg inedible due to being hard we did get complimentary drinks for this. Just really disappointed as I eat little meat and had plenty veg on plate that I couldnt eat don't think we will be back unfortunately 😔
Dropped in for lunch. After being shown table 25 minutes before we were given menu Food not very warm some things which should have been on meals missing. Serving staff working hard can't blame them for poor service not
Lovely hotel staff are first class can't do enough for you. Food was fantastic. Only fault I could find was room 14 right next to the m77 motorway traffic noise was horrendous plus the fan in the bathroom was on constantly lovely hotel pitty it's next to the motorway didn't sleep a wink.
Came here for an afternoon tea with my mum and had specified I had a nut allergy. Firstly the waitress made a fuss as if this was an inconvenience for her. Was told I would be given food separately. After a 35 minute wait, 1 cake stand came out and I was told nothing had nuts in it. The poor selection of sandwiches were dry and tasteless, there was no indication as to what was in them either. The selection of cakes weren’t that great either - I cut into one of them and it had a layer of marzipan in it (almonds!) Completely ruined the experience as I was too frightened to have anything else. We then had to ask for our pot of tea half way through our meal as we hadn’t been given it yet. Mentioned to one of the staff members about cross contamination and she didn’t seem to know what the problem was, and then said ‘I hope you’ll be okay’. The staff are not trained in how to deal with allergies at all. Will not be back!
