I've been in Hull for a while whilst working,and this does a good pint.
Great atmosphere, and served quickly. Drinks are not overpriced and of a decent standard. We all had a good time, and it appeared everyone else did too.
The empress is a popular pub. This very attractive former courage pub is a lot bigger than its appears from the outside. There is a wide range of beers and lager sadly no cask conditioned real Ale. It's always busy at the weekend attracting a trendy crowd. There's a nice outside seating area at the front of the pub.
