My cousin's local. Guinness about £3.80 a pint. The food is amazingly good. Two fish & chips and two burger in a basket meals (Mmm.. This IS a tasty burger) for about £37. I wish I had these prices down South.
Great food and great service! Must be experienced! My husband had the Rack of Ribs smothered in a sweet BBQ sauce, served with curly fries, coleslaw, onion rings and mini corn on the cob and I had the Jacket Potato with baked beans and cheddar cheese served with a salad garnish. We popped in for lunch as we were passing and will definitely be going back for more soon!
One of the best fried fish I’ve had in a pub. They batter it themselves. My husband had the Cumberland sausage in a Yorkshire pudding but gave me his red onions. He really enjoyed it. All in a comforting homemade style. Not your generic pub food at all. Good selection of ales, lagers and spirits. The bar staff are lovely
Really nice pub, god atmosphere and good homemade food that doesn't sting your pockets. We ordered a shepherds pie and a lamb shank with chips instead of mash, it came with mash by mistake but was sorted quite promptly. The food was delightful! Cute beer garden, nice little sun trap, plenty of seating. Definitely coming back and will highly recommend to friends and family.
