About us

Wine bar in the new Glass Works development that also sells four (expensive) craft keg beers - Salt Jute, Vocation (beer not named - thought to be Heart & Soul), Madri and Ippon (brewed by Woodland of Penistone). The single room is (they say) 'reminiscent of Old Italy', which is pushing it a bit. It has a marble-topped counter, with an impressive arch feature behind, walls covered with a mix of walnut panelling, tall curtains and 'venetian plaster', a couple of semi-circular padded bench seats with circular tables, other seats ranged round a barrel and a free-standing small counter. A choice of charcuterie 'grazing boards' is available. Sizeable outdoor area with lots of tables. In the same ownership as the Salthouse across the square. UPDATE June 2024 - the bar is currently closed but has been leased to Nailmaker brewery who will reopen it shortly.

Not a place for OAP's. I keep telling my wife we are too old for this... it was a laugh though. I'm sure the youngsters enjoy it.

Not the best place on earth. I was glued to the floor all the time I was there.
