The Crown is a real pub in the heart of the village of Aldbourne near Marlborough set to the border of Wiltshire and Berkshire countryside on the edge of the Marlborough Downs. The Crown, Aldbourne is a free house that serves a selection of real ales backed up with the Cask Marque accreditation and freshly prepared, locally sourced, home-cooked food. We have five bedrooms, a mixture of double and twin rooms. We have plenty of outside space; the courtyard at the rear of the pub and tables out front. The Crown is at the heart of the community, hosting quiz nights, parties, live music most weekends and special events.

Such history in the pub, as a fan of Band of Brothers in my teens and this area being on the doorstep. To visit somewhere and connect with history was great. Food was nice, good selection of beers. Great fire too.
Fantastic family Sunday Lunch. Really relaxed atmosphere, very efficient, food was excellent and the portions very generous. Roast Beef melted in the mouth, the roast parsnips the best ever tasted. The deep fried brie starter was enough for 3 people. Highly recommended for all.
Love this crazy pub. Local villages that have always welcomed me when I visit 2-4 times a year. Guest ale is almost always a nice pale ale.
In the heart of the village, the pub is great and the rooms are lovely and comfortable. The beer and food are great, especially the breakfast if you're staying over. An all-around nice stay - essential for Doctor Who fans with the Daemons locations just round the corner - or anyone interested in Band of Brothers, as the real soldiers trained in Aldbourne.
Just had a cup of tea but the customer service was fabulous. Offered to serve us something from the dessert menu, very friendly bar staff, food and cocktail menus looked good and a great range of beers. I will definitely go back for a meal next time.
