Called for a midday meal. Outstanding, best pub meal for over 20 years. Steak pie with lovely gravy and lots of trimmings. Plates hot, pie dish hot and even little gravy jug hot. So good going back Sunday with cycling friends. No way will I be cycling after another Steak pie, so something off the extensive menu. Oh!, homemade pie, homemade tartare sauce (for lunch partner) homemade this and homemade that..... You must have got the idea by now that I liked it all.
A favourite pub for us years ago. Great to see it up and running again with new owners and a friendly warm welcome. Delicious food too after a long walk over Linley Hill. Despite info to the contrary they are open for lunch Monday and Tuesday!
Lovely to see the Crown back up and running, with new folk at the helm. The food is freshly (and perfectly) cooked and delicious. As a non-meat eater it's nice to see veggie options that are a bit different from the usual offerings. Portion sizes are generous and the welcome is warm. It's back to being our local favourite again.
Had a fantastic Sunday lunch. Very friendly and efficient service, even though they were quite busy. It sells great beer and has a nice little beer garden and is dog friendly. Highly recommended.
Lovely village pub. Enjoyed the broccoli and stilton soup very much. Nice beers too. Thanks to martin and his good lady for running us back to Bridges as the shuttle bus doesnโt stop at the pub, it would appear! That was very kind of them. ๐๐
