The Crooked Billet is situated halfway along Sheepridge Lane (a turning off the A4155 at Little Marlow). It was originally built in the 16th century as two cottages, then changed in 1850 to a simple Cider house.
Fantastic gem, lovely old country pub, with nice floral gardens out front in the summer and serving good pub food menu at reasonable prices. If you like a proper Ploughman's lunch, you will be in for a treat! Good place to walk the dog around the woods (public footpath next door) and come back for a cold pint out front in the summer or an ale and cosy fireplace inside in the winter.
43 years since last visit. Taught at Pembroke school. It was our Fridays lunchtime local. So as I remember. Great times
Excellent overall. Food was great quality for the price. Cozy older building, so watch your head if you are more than 5 foot tall.
Very pleasant and helpful staff, everyone enjoyed their meals and loved the flowers everywhere.
The pub is located just on a bit of a higher ground where you have the amazing views of the local fields of Flackwell Heath. Their garden is full of beautiful flowers, pots and hanging baskets everywhere. It's a very nice place to go to enjoy lovely food and drinks with a view. Very friendly service, highly recommend it.
