After 28 successful years at The Old Horse, Kev and Dee are set to retire and pass on the baton of this one-of-a-kind and much-loved pub in a prime Leicester location.
The Old Horse is set on the edge of Leicester’s vibrant city centre, not far from the train station, De Montfort Hall and Leicester University, and right across the road from Victoria Park which is a buzz with activity and a calendar of epic events (It was recently host to Radio 2 in the Park with other live gigs lined up including Kasabian this summer!)
Those who haven’t visited the pub are sure to have heard stories of it, from the rugby posts that take pride of place in the huge garden out back, to the resident coffin and its epic Halloween parties, this is a pub that is well used, well loved and well known.
It offers an extensive selection of drinks, featuring new and exciting options that change with the seasons, from frozen ciders to mulled wine, along with a rotating variety of craft beers and premium lagers on tap. The pub has won many a CAMRA award for its real ales as well as awards for its range of hugely popular ciders.

Amazing food. Came to visit family. Will defo be going back
Dont usaully fill in these sort of requests but i must say the lady who waited our table was amazing polite lovely smile and freindly will definitely return there
Lovely place for a function...staff great, prices reasonable...buffet was excellent
Had a prom but was not allowed a DJ the music wasn't loud enough if we had to have a dj would of cost extra 150 pounds for bouncers had own food made it was good service and ok atmosphere would not have a party again
I went to the croft last Sunday before mother's day. It says they are doing Carvery so I went there and was hoping to get some food, so I went inside asked the lady behind the bar are they serving food, the lady told me they stopped serving no longer doing meals. On the outside of the building it states they are because the Advertising poster says they are. A bit of confusion, although the pub has great beers to drink the bar was packed out. If your looking for a Drink you still can drink there they do have some great Ales and beer good but no food. Its a shame though was looking forward to have a meal there perhaps it may reopen again one day soon
