I booked a meal for my girlfriends 20th birthday. I asked if there was any steaks left and I was told yes. I then went to order and was told I couldn't have sirloin steak and would have to have a 8oz rump steak as there was one left. I couldn't order off the set menu. Choice of food was poor and to top it off when my girlfriend's steak came it was overcooked and tough whilst also being two 4oz steaks, not one 8oz as said. Usually go and the service and food is lovely but because of that I wouldn't go now.
It was a very well organised Christmas lunch. The quality of the food was amazing - fresh produce and well cooked. The service was good and no pressure to rush out. A table of 10 all gave it a thumbs up. Thank you
4 of us went yesterday for our Christmas Day meal, it was fantastic from start to finish. The pub was extremely busy but there was enough staff on to serve. The food was amazing, the starters were beautiful and the main Turkey dinner was delicious. The staff worked so hard and made it a truly fantastic day for myself, my Nan, my mom & Dad. Keep up the amazing work and I hope you all got to enjoy your day after making ours so special.
Good selection of real ales, plus bonus of £1 pt off on Monday & Thursday. Ordered the Chicken & Portobello mushroom pie & mash. Was very nice & greens were well cooked. Plus tasty pot of gravy.
It's dog friendly with no curfew, they have dog treats and water bowls are always topped up...and oh yes they do really good food, sensibly priced drinks and it's a good atmosphere too. A nice little bonus here is that all the staff are friendly as well and always give our Collie a good fuss whenever they walk past. Fab place
