For centuries past, home-cooked dishes and local ales served next to a roaring fire have been enticing visitors through our old-world doors. To this day, we—like the landlords who came before us—have kept up the tradition, ready to welcome weary travellers with hearty fare and a freshly-pulled pint.
Dine amongst real North Devon history at The Coach and Horses; we serve a range of home-made dishes, from our famous Buckland Burger to aromatic curries inspired by the East.

Good "village" pub, excellent beer and friendly locals, I will try and return.
Small pub with a big atmosphere the night my band played there. Nice friendly locals.
HI TIna,thanks for all your help on Thursday, 6th July. The room was excellent, service +++++ and your help. Thanks for the food and wish you every success and hope many more people will come and stay.
Stopped off with my wife today after a walk from Westward Ho! Arrived covered in mud but was welcomed in nonetheless. Chatted with the manager and customers - seems a really lovely place that has an important role in the local community. They do a quiz night, dance night and fish and chips night. Hope they continue to thrive. P.S. When it looked like our bus wasn't going to show one of the customers offered to drive us to Bideford. A lovely act of kindness.
Stunning little (very old) pub, clean and nicely decorated with a roaring fire too. On a Friday they do takeaway fish and chips which was delicious. A real country community pub where everyone knows each other and are welcoming to those they don't know. Sometimes they have live music on a Saturday night Dog friendly, easy disabled access, on site parking.
