Stopped off for a coffee after a nippy walk along the canal from the Marina. We sat by a lovely warm log fire. I had a very nice coffee in a cafetiere with a small chocolate. Several people were having Sunday lunch, which looked and smelt delicious, so I plan to go back another day for a hot and hearty Sunday lunch. Just one small thing was a bit off-putting. The choice of music was probably not to the taste of the clientele at that time and was rather loud
I was here for the Folk Club, so my experience may not be typical, but the staff I encountered were cheerful and friendly, even at a busy time, and the beer was good. As for the club: it was one of the friendliest and most receptive I've been to, with really interesting floor spots (that's a folk club thing, nothing to do with the state of the carpet). There's clearly a lovely community there.
I love the chi inn...but it is expensive so don't go there as often as I would like. The last time I was there a round of two pints and a packet of pork scratchings was almost £13. Isn't that a bit much?
Myself , my wife and her freind recently stayed at the Chichester Inn to attend a wedding nearby, we loved it the room was great, as was the breakfast, both normal and vegetarian option. The food was lovely in the evening and the owner and staff very friendly and welcoming. The location is great only a couple of hundred yards from the cathedral and the Bishops Palace gardens behind the Inn a lovely. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and will definitely return.
Great two night stay with my mum. Staff couldnt do enough for us. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast was well cooked and plentiful. Had dinner one evening which was also good value. Short walk from the cathedral so central without being in a noisy area. Will definitely be back.
