The Cheshire Line Tavern is a former railway station that has been converted to a large and comfortable pub restaurant offering friendly service, prime British cuisine, fine wines and a constantly changing selection of cask ales.
Nestled down ‘the dip’ next to Golden Days Garden Centre off Manchester Road between Cheadle village and Parrs Wood, it is the perfect location for family gatherings, special occasions or a night out with friends or loved ones.
Amazing food, tomato bushetta is to die for one of my favourites !! I’ve not been disappointed all the times I’ve been. Service is great very friendly. And it’s a lovely warm atmosphere. Love it here!!.
Food was very tasty and with a nice presentation. They have a vegan menu with great options.
It has been a few years since my last visit. The pub sits between Cheadle High Street and Wetherspoons Gateway pub. Poor access on foot from Cheadle as pavement only on one side and crossing over can be near suicidal at busy times. The pub is indeed a converted railway station. It shares the large car park with the excellent Golden Days garden centre. Came with Eric's German cousin Albrecht. Sadly only one real ale on out of 4 handpumps. A good pint of Marston's Pedigree. Think they also had Bank's last time. Popular food destination. Pub grub, steaks etc. Nice front terrace though the M60 motorway noise is a constant backdrop. Otherwise you could be in the country.
My wife and I recently rediscovered the "Cheshire Line" and since my retirement I think we've had Lunch one a week at least. Sometimes Twice.. we were very impressed with the Quality of the Food, I'd like to compliment the Chef, his "Chicken Tikka Curry" is Second to none. The Staff are Always very Engaging and extremely Pleasant. We had Guests from the U.S.A. and the "Line" was our Choice of venue to treat our visitors to Lunch, which I may add was Excellent. Our American Cousin tasted Halloumi for the 1st Time and is Hooked.. (I've heard on the Grapevine, I'm being treated to Lunch there for my upcoming Birthday) we recently had "The Carvary" for Sunday Lunch, Most satisfying.. Thanks to the Staff for Making our EVERY visit thoroughly enjoyable. See ya Sunday 😉
I was visiting Cheshire Lines Tavern with a close friend as we was meeting a weekly social group but sadly they had left When we arrived. We decided to have drinks and food. The level of service that we got was amazing. The staff was very helpful, polite, friendly and patient. They informed us when certain items on the menu was unavailable. Staff held a high standard and was very polite. Food was amazing and tasted great. Compliments to the Chef and Kitchen staff. Compliments to the Bar Staff and management. Kind Regards, Aaron
