Friendly local pub and friendly staff. Good food and Greene King beer.
4 of us had a meal ... lasagne was ok bread was toasted and stale. Place needs a good clean ... be great for Halloween 🕸

Visited The Chequers in Streatley recently after a great walk around Barton-Le-Clay. What a lovely, welcoming pub. We had a prawn jacket potato & a Turkey sandwich, both of which were delicious & great value for money. Ambiance was great too.
Generally a nice pub, definitely needs a bit of tlc as it is obviously a more of a 'regulars' place. Not somewhere to go if you want fine dining but good if you want a hearty meal and a few drinks.
