Paul, Jackie offer a warm welcome to our lovely picturesque, traditional English pub, nestled between Royal Tunbridge Wells and Penshurst, in the small village of Fordcombe.
We specialise in honest, home-cooked food and have built up a reputation since 2006 for consistently good food. We have this saying to diners, that the only thing not made on the premises is the ice-cream.
Our separate Public Bar is just the right place to bring along your well behaved dogs, so that you can enjoy a meal without leaving your pooch at home
There are many good walks around here, including the famous Weald Way, to work up an appetite.
Our bars and restaurant all have wood burning stoves, roaring away during the winter months to keep you warm. What could be better than sitting near one of the stoves enjoying one of our hearty pies?
Our large well kept garden is the only place to be during the warmer weather, we have great views across the weald, and, although we get busy in the garden, there are enough tables for everyone, without that feeling of overcrowding.

Pub has a great beer garden with lovely views, staff are friendly and attentive with very quick service. Food is basic.
Delightful country pub in a quintessential English village. Garden has great views. Ample parking. Usual pub menu with some innovative additions - the goats cheese salad starter was excellent, ditto the crayfish tail salad main. Friendly staff and good value for money.
Small but lovely pub, views in the garden at the back are great, staff are really friendly and lovely location in general. Will definitely come back to eat here, as we just turned in for a pint today.
Amazing summer outdoor space for dogs and families! My family made a stop here for lunch today. 1 dog, 2 kids, and 4 adults. The menu was great for everyone, vegetarians included. Everything was a great size and really tasty. The pricing was good for the group of us. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside under sun umbrellas and really enjoyed the beautiful environment. I'd recommend this venue for any size group on a sunny day, but probably call ahead if it's a cooler day and you need to be inside, where you can enjoy the charm of an old English pub location. Would I go back? Yes. If you're in the area, and get a chance, choose this venue for a relaxing meal and a drink.
Good menu good food. Worth a visit for lunch or dinner. Great garden but unfortunately wrong time of year to use.
