The Bulls Head Belper is a beautiful 18th Century village pub surrounded by rolling countryside, it has recently undergone a huge transformation. We officially opened on the 3rd of January 2024.
Owner and general manager, Sian, fell in love with hospitality at a young age and has been in the industry for over 20 years. Opening the Bulls Head Belper is her life long dream. All of our dishes are designed and made from scratch in our restaurant kitchen by Head Chef, Kris. Kris is extremely talented and passionate about creating delicious dishes. At the Bulls Head Belper we pride ourselves on farm to fork dining, capturing the best of Derbyshire’s local seasonal produce.
We have created three beautiful spaces for you to enjoy; A cosy snug with local ales, bar menu, and a roaring fire to relax after a long walk in the Derbyshire countryside .. of course it wouldn’t be complete without the doggy treats! Our bar area, with comfy sofas and table service, and contemporary dining in our elegant restaurant space.
Here at the Bulls Head Belper we have a bar menu available in the garden, snug and bar area, including homemade sausage rolls, baked Camembert and steak sandwiches .. as well as the traditional pub snacks of course! Al A Carte dining in our restaurant and a comprehensive wine menu, cocktail menu, as well as local ales and lagers from Thornbridge Brewery.

The Bulls Head is back. Best eating experience I've had in Derbyshire in years and years. Rosette standard food at really fair price. Cocktails are freshly made and beautiful. Lovely to meet the chef but all the staff are so attentive (Hannah was awesome both times we've been). Great recommendations on wine and deserts. Difficult to get value for money these days but this place really is on another level. Special place for special occasions.

Well second time here since the new owners have taken over and its absolutely amazing food is fantastic and the service matches.
Popped in on the off chance after a walk today. Made room for us and Dash 🐕. The food was fantastic, the vibe and staff fantastic and Sian the manager could not do enough. Definitely will become a local for fantastic food and excellent staff. Simon, Tanya, Lee, Tara & Dash 🐕
Visited on the off chance of getting a Sunday lunch, luckily we were able to. Excellent meal and good service. Suggest you book to be sure.
