About Us
A family run pub in Godden Green, Sevenoaks, owned by husband and wife duo, James and Hope. The Bucks Head is very dog friendly and the ideal spot to explore the National Trust’s Knole park which is a 5 minute walk away and we are also a 40 minute walk from central Sevenoaks. We have kept our pub very traditional and we welcome those just coming to have a drink by our open fires or in our beautiful garden, or those coming have something to eat with us. Our menu changes every week using seasonal produce from surrounding areas, however we always keep on some pub classics! On Sundays we serve our award winning Sunday roast which is very popular. With James’ extensive background as a chef and butcher we work closely with our local butcher Coldbreath in Seal, to bring you the best quality meat and our sharing steaks are very popular!.

It's a great spot between hikes (or at the end)—a lovely pub with a good selection of drinks. Please note: they do not serve food between 4 and 6 p.m. Delicious Sunday Roast and good portion!
Booked a table, they got very busy. Parking can be tight, as people often park for local walks. Not much space in the pub, some street based parking. Lovely food, great staff and had a great Sunday lunch.
Chicken and leek pie nice and crispy, nice gravy but was too runny. Black pudding croquettes were nice, the sauce was very good. Nice employees. Medium to high prices. Beautiful seating areas especially the garden at back of the pub.
Visited today for the 1st time and we were not disappointed. The food is wonderful and the service was friendly and welcoming from the moment you arrive. We did bring a dog with us and she was very welcome. The pub is traditionally decorated and has beautiful open fireplaces. They do offer a childrens menu or smaller plates from the main menu. We did not have to wait long for our any of our food, which was hot and very generous in portion size. We managed to park on the forecourt, this is small and there is also parking on the road. Will definitely recommend and visit again.
We stopped here mid-walk around Knole for some lunch. Delicious food - friend said "best pie I've ever had"! Staff were very welcoming and helpful, including when we accidentally spilled tea all over the place. Very dog-friendly, with beds and water etc. We did get very cold even though there was a fire, think we picked a bad spot. Would go again!
