A hundred yards from the historic southern entrance to the city at Micklegate Bar, we have a ground-floor location on the street of the same name, converted into BrewDog York!
As befits a city which shaped the course of British history, we faced several battles to secure the site – but have finally captured it and are ready to pour the freshest beer from ourselves and other amazing craft breweries, serving to the people of this beer-loving city.
I was in BrewDog York this afternoon. The beer I tasted first time and it’s amazing. Two vegan pizzas were delicious (a little bit burnt but still delicious) The guys were very helpful, it was absolutely fantastic time. A big thank you.
First time visiting this Brewdog. As always, the food was excellent. We had the King of Pigs Pizza. 3 beers on this stop. First was 421 Imperial Stout by Brew by the numbers. Next was Born to Die 20.5.2023 by Brewdog and last was Dog L Barrel Aged Stout by Brewdog. All stellar.
Location - good! Just round the corner from the station. Staff - friendly and engaging but it's quiet o' clock. Beer: excellent. Brewdog pub also with guest beers Game machines: yes there are game machines Food: Owner/manager behind the bar also rolling the dough for the pizzas. Dough is pretty good. Tasty. Tolerated my drunken moaning about the vegan pizza: Wasn't so keen on the vegan pizza. Vegan cheese sat in little sad unmelting blocks- I think they should venture into authentic Italian cheese free pizzas Come here because it's quiet and serves nice beer. And don't order the vegan pizza
First Time Visiting This Bar And WOW!! What An Experience, I didn’t catch the females name who served us and took us through the Beer School, But She Was Fantastic and so knowledgeable and you could tell she loved her job, Really Enjoyed The Experience and will definitely be back in the future
Great pizzas! We visited for the pizza deal, it was lovely handmade pizza bases with tasty toppings. Beers were good, and all the staff were helpful even though it was on the busy side, offered us tasters of some of the beers before we decided on a pint. Only let down were the fries that were a bit under cooked, and a slight wait on pizza We’ll be back 😊
