Whether it's a spot of lunch, a quick take-away or a full meal you're after, you'll love The Breidden.
We range from traditional Chinese cuisine, to English dishes such as steak or fish & chips. We have real ales and a large range of other beers and spirits available. There's something for everyone.
Only had food once no complaints all was good Did go last Saturday for music night my partner Annie was bit disappointed ran out of vodka lol so she had to drink lager at least she was bit more sober than she wouldve been at end of the night, ( not complaining I just thought was funny) an prob takes a while to get stock levels sort
In terms of food, it is okay, basic pub grub, the transformation of the pub itself is fantastic, and it looks so much better, However, the new Hogs Inn Breidden does not know if it wants to be a loud bustling pub, or a nice country pub serving nice food. There was initial confusion when we turned up, as we had requested 4 seats and room for a pram, the staff were lovely and apologetic and sorted it, however the only room for he pram was in front of the door to the smoking area, but we sorted that out ourselves. It became apparent that the tables they wanted to use for the ‘restaurant’ part of the pub were being used by people just there to drink, the tables were close together and the two tables next to use were taken over by a large group of drunk men screaming at eachother. Bumping into tables and we couldn’t hear ourselves speak. It got so bad that about halfway through the meal the baby started crying from the noise. The dad left most of his meal and went to sit in the car waiting for the rest of us to finish and pay up. Overall this is one of the worst restaurant experiences we have had, we were so excited to support a local pub and we are so disappointed. If you want to have a nice country pub food experience, then make it that, if you are wanting a bustling loud pub, then make it that, you cannot combine the two. Also the only baby changing is in the women’s toilets and there is no disabled toilet.
The pub looks great what a transformation looks so much brighter. Great to see it back to a traditional English pub, food was great and the prices were very reasonable. Staff were very welcoming and nothing was to much of ask we will definitely be returning.
Brilliant! Saw this on the internet and went to see what it was like! Absolutely beautiful food.. lovely staff and cosy pub to eat in! What more can you want!
Found this place by accident, it looks like a pub but the Chinese food is the best I have had in a long time. Staff are very friendly and the prices are very good. Definitely worth another visit again and again
