Convivial two-room pub with a dozen real ales, traditional ciders and good choice of malt whiskies, thai menu and some snacky food.
Friendly knowledgeable staff, light interior with one or two low beams and woodburner; fortnightly buskers night (Tues), juke box, sports TV; children and dogs welcome, seats outside, close to station and river, open all day (evenings can be very busy).
Great real ale pub with a great selection of local draft beers, cask and keg. Roaring open fire, dog friendly and classic pub grub available. It also helps that it's right on the Tyne Valley railway line, and also situated on Keelman's Way cycle path.
Nice pub for local ales and drinks. A good place to stop after a long walk.
First time for a drink...real ales good selection of. Food looked good although I didn't eat. Go again for sure. Back again 3-4more times ?
First visit and we'll be back, amazing choice of beers and ales, good seating areas in and outside. Good toasties
Nice pub with good selection of ales. No food menu just toasties or crisps which was disappointing. Visit spoiled by regulars at the bar being very loud and foul mouthed.
