Victorian East End pub infamous as site where 1960s gangster Ronnie Kray shot and killed a rival.
The Blind Beggar is a pub on Whitechapel Road in Whitechapel, East London, England. It is notable as the former brewery tap of the Manns Albion brewery, where the first modern Brown Ale was brewed. The pub was built in 1894 on the site of an inn which had been established before 1654, and takes its name from the legend of Henry de Montfort.
Very welcoming. Good pint of Guinness. Lovely server. Definately the best choice in a pub void area.
Great staff, who are happy to share the pubs history. Good pint of Guinness.
The Blind Beggar is undeniably a cool spot to enjoy a beer. While it might not be the most aesthetically pleasing pub, what it lacks in looks, it more than makes up for in history. The place has a rich and intriguing past that adds a unique charm to the overall experience. If you're looking for a place to kick back with a cold one and soak in some historical vibes, The Blind Beggar is definitely worth a visit.
Historically famous pub for those who know about London’s East End gangsters. Fascinating pub with a good choice of beers and two rather friendly ginger cats. Must visit in my humble opinion.
Bit more expensive than my regulars, but was in the area so had to pay a visit to this infamous pub. Staff were pleasant, drink was perfectly chilled, and they have a gorgeous friendly pub cat. Didn't get kitty's name.
