Usually ok here, but was made to feel we were being a pain when asking for basic service - asked for our table to be cleared from the previous people who had left and the lady walled away to ask a gentleman instead which was odd. Both didn't really look like they wanted to clear, and seemed quite put out we had asked. When the dirty dishes etc were taken away, they left the cups (which were clearly with the dirty cutlery at the end of the table). So we moved these ourselves. No one came back to wipe our table down. We went to the bar and asked for a cloth to wipe the table and were provided one - great, but shocked the x3 staff we had now come into contact witg did not apologise or offer to do it themselves!
A very rude young girl brought us out a wrong meal. We told her what we ordered. Then she brought us one meal instead of two. I tried to explain to her and she just walked off ignoring me. Dreadful service Compliments to the chef. Superb food
awful experience. was asked to leave after i ordered my food, for no reason. constantly being pestered by the manager. because i was diabetic i ordered a lemonade & felt my blood sugar levels drop i added some glucose syrup to my drink and then was rudely asked what it was multiple times as it changed the colour of the lemonade then he asked me to leave. and was just constantly watching me from the bar untill i finished eating. wouldn’t return if someone paid me.
Just like any other Wetherspoons cheap and cheerful and you kinda know what you're getting. Now I was going to give this place 3 stars then thought to myself hang on I'm being quite harsh and raised it to 4 but I couldn't ever give it 5 as who likes a soggy naan ? So I came on curry night and got a curry, rice, naan, poppadoms, mango chutney, vegetable samosa and an onion bhaji with a pint for a 10er. Everything started well then the food came out. The curry was nice and to be fair most of it was ok. The samoas were over done and like I said the naan was soggy and I mean really soggy. Haven said all that I had to remember I'm not in a curry house so take it for what it is and it was ok and amazing for a 10er... So corrected to 4 stars... Sort your naans out and you may get 5 next time!
When I came here with my work colleagues I wasn’t expecting much but I must say I am surprised with the great service I got. I ordered the buttermilk chicken burger which tasted really good for a Wetherspoons, if I was in a proper restaurant I would have expected a little bit more from it but it was great value for what I paid for. The service was fast and the staff were very friendly. We ordered loads of drinks and they all came quick and were up to our standard. I would definitely recommend this as one of the better Wetherspoons around the area
