We had a table booked for 12:00 but the pub opened lated at 12:10. There was no apology for the late opening. The food was OK, but items were missing from our plates, and were brought out later. The gravy was like water. We were really cold at our table as staff and customers keep leaving the doors open. My children got up to close the doors about a dozen times, and no members of staff did anything about it. They were out of the drink that my son ordered. Overall, very disappointing.
Super dog friendly, great burgers, fish was lovely but very small and sadly cottage pie wasn't great but ok. Will definitely be back though as lovely and welcoming as ever.
Having lived in Chislehurst for over 10 years, I always head to London for lunch/dinners. I've been to the Bickley Arms only 3 times over the years and most recently, Saturday 06/01/24 for my daughter's 10th birthday (for dinner with family). I have nothing but great things to say about my experience. The Bickley Arms is simple yet gorgeous! (Depending on your taste for decor). It embodies both a traditional & contemporary ambience, the food was great & the service was outstanding. I was particularly impressed by the staff's careful consideration for our needs. All food allergies and dietary requirement needs for a few of us were met. Thank you to the team for such a great service and a warm welcome. I'll always recommend ✨️
Beautiful interior 😍 Airy and spacious with skylight coming through. Fish and chips are spot on! We didn't expect to have such a nice experience here (from the outside it looks like an average local pub) definitely visit again 👍
Visited today for a Sunday roast for the first time. We didn't have a booked table but we were offered a table inside, which was perfect for us. Nice interesting decor, placed needed attention like the bench ripped on left of our table. Our table was very shaky and chairs slightly dirty. Garden looked great but super busy for out liking. In was quite peaceful and pleasant. Drink menu was extensive, food menu obviously was more consistent on meat options. As vegetarian myself I felt wes restricted, I would love to see more options, just a personal opinion. We had a starters, olives and bread were divine. My meat eaters had the beef roast and they said it was she best they ever had so far, so a big compliment for the chef. I had the pasta with peas, the cauliflower baked and the chips on the side, was good. Obviously as a dessert lover I had the white chocolate ganesh and I honestly can say was amazing. Well done Service was very attentive and polite. Would definitely come back ,maybe on another day to try.
