A Young's house since 1872 (now Punch)) but dating back to 1617, here is an ideal base for exploring historic Roehampton. The busy public bar is the focus of activity with locals playing board and card games and watching sports on TV. The saloon bar is much quieter but just as welcoming. Photographs of old Roehampton adorn the walls. Good collections for charities attest to the generous spirit of this much love.
She is the absolute best clever attendee that I’ve ever met. She is a real knocker, so I intend to give them the best review that they possibly ever have received.❣️ 10 out of 10! Oh, my love Jono ❤️ 🕊️🎶🎺
This is a really old style pub where people still count and they take you in as part of their family. I turned 66 and they surprised me with a cake with candles, totally unexpected and was shouted a couple of drinks. My husband and myself were welcomed and every time we came in and never felt like we were strangers always felt totally welcomed. I would recommend this pub and next time we come back will definitely stop by again. The staff, the owner and the patrons were amazing.
Wonderful pub, locals are lovely and the food was delicious.
The Angel is an old school pub with a pool table, darts and live sport. It is definitely a locals pub with a few characters at the bar but worth visiting for a few pints if you're in Roehampton. If drinking in a gastropub and paying high prices is your thing then the Kings Head is just next door.
