My husband and I and our children came here for dinner a few months ago. We drive past quite often and fancied a good hot meal. We were very impressed, the decor was homey and we felt very comfortable. The food tasted homemade and fresh. We aall have 3 courses each and the portions were great. Although it is quite pricey it was certainly worth it.
Beautiful traditional pub offering great food and great service. Ideal for a meal and a relaxing break. Had a family day out including a visit to Snetterton race track. 5 of us had a 3 course meal. Steaks cooked exactly to personal preferences. Large portions and well priced. Service was excellent. Highly recommend.
Good Ales selection, food was good quality and listing. Sunday roast was lovely. The pub itself is of a classic older building layout, so cosy and fun floor plan. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.
Just wanted to share a review of our brief stop at The Angel Inn, Larling, Saturday 28th October ‘23. Two adults and two of our children, popped in on the off-chance we could get some grub. Luckily we were pleasantly welcomed by the gentleman behind the bar, where we were shown to a table. We ordered two cheeseburger meals for the boys, a BLT sandwich meal for my lady, and, a Steak and Ale pie meal for myself. We ordered drinks, which we enjoyed as we waited for our food. The burger meals were plentiful, with lovely home-made looking chips that were really nice and a little side pot of baked beans- both ended up being a bit too much for our boys (aged 9 & 10- so that shows how plentiful and filling the meals were). My lady’s BLT sandwich meal, was, she described as “The best ever, with the perfect amount of mayonnaise”, so there you have it. My steak & ale pie meal, well, let’s put it like this: I stoped eating it after one bite- just to savour the absolutely beautiful tenderness of the meat!!! This was sublime for such an ordinary dish- the pastry seemingly homemade, was delicious as were the vegetables and chips that accompanied the pie. So delicious and nice was it that in no time I had completely polished the plate clean. Our bill, with drinks, came in at £46 which is fantastic for the home-made quality of the food we enjoyed- totally great value for your money. Our first ever visit, I have to say right here with you as my witness: it won’t be our last! Do try to book a table- it’s obvious this place gets full, regularly! Brilliant and completely worth stopping at. Kindest regards to the owners, Douglas Valentine 💖
We had a superb lunch. The food was perfectly cooked and very reasonably priced. There was an excellent range of dishes on offer. The staff were friendly and competent and were attentive without intrusion. Highly recommended, and I will be going back.
