Popped in for a pint in the middle of a walk along the canal. Very friendly owner and I had a good chat. And the pint was good too. A really quaint place: inside it’s like a living room from a few decades ago.
Have frequented this pub for many decades now. Always good friendly chatter to be had and sometimes the locals and/or visitors make music and sing, you never know quite what will happen. Quaint real ale pub, friendly owners who have a loyal clientele 👌
Always an excellent place to go when the sun is out. A well maintained garden area next to the canal offers a lovely setting to an original old pub. If visiting then you must try the Wadsworth 6x beer.
What a little gem. Limited choice of drinks but the ambience and charm more than makes up for it. A brilliant place to make new friends
What a fantastic little pub. The landlady was lovely. We were singing till late into the night with two lovely gentleman and their guitar. Fabulous atmosphere really made our evening. It rained all day but it didn’t dampen our spirits when we sang old songs and made memories with lovely friends old and new.. Thank you.
