About us

Micropub in a converted shop opened in July 2017. The nicely-furnished interior has wooden benches and dados all round. A large barrel with a millstone top forms a table in the centre. Up to three real ales, plus two ciders, stillage in a temperature-controlled glass-fronted "cellar" visible from the bar. Ham and cheese cobs are available.

Great place, great beers, staff, and the crisps are good too 😁

Wife and I called in for a couple of pints last weekend. Really pleasant atmosphere with some good ales on cask. I had a summer fruit flavoured stout which was very refreshing. Dog friendly is an added bonus and the knowledge of the barman (possibly landlord?) was of a high standard. Excellent customer service. The only downside was the selection on offer. As there is no craft ale shops I can find in the area, it would have been nice to have an area with a selection from different breweries (Tiny Rebel, Vocation, Turning Point etc).

One of my favourite places to drink, has a good selection of real beers and cider. No lager in sight except for one bottle of craft in the fridge. They always have really top quality beer, some on cask and some keg. The cheese and onion cobs are quite frankly ridiculous, so big!

Brilliant real ale pub with a great choice of cask keg and bottled beers. Also serves proper cider and the best cobs in the world. Oh and also they serve something called coffee?
